Comparing all of the educational narratives

All of the blogs we had to read differ in their own way. Feross Aboukhadiejeh’s “how I leaned to program computers” was very informative and motivating at the same time showing his personality more. While Joshua J. Romero’s “how I learned to live Google free” was very informative in a step by step approach of everything he did. Mike Rose’s “I just wannna be average” shows some very serious flaws in some school district, where he is misplaced in a lower level classes and lost his motivation. It showed that a smart kid can lose focus and motivation in the wrong environment. His teachers were mean and did not care about the kids’ education.  Whereas Malcolm X’s “Learning to read” shows that he was brought up with no education and while he was in jail taught himself how to read with a dictionary and paper and pencils. It showed how someone can excel given no opportunities to succeed. The last Cate Huston’s “How I learned to love traveling Solo” was fun for me to read and had some good information to help and encourage someone to travel for themselves. It had informal information with a blog layout. She finishes with “Managing and reducing the things that you find stressful, and embracing whatever it is that you love doing by yourself are the keys to enjoying it and getting the most out of it.”  It shows how she is just trying to tell people how to get the most out of traveling by themselves.
