“How I learned to love traveling solo”

After reading “How I learned to love traveling solo” by Cate Huston, it made me want to go on an adventure all by myself! Just like she suggests I would get some technology to help me GPS everything and know where I am at, so I can plan on where to go next. The paper was both educational and in a casual blog layout. I liked that fact that it was casual and informative, it was very easy for me to read and to stay intrigued. She states what things she likes to do all by herself and what things she plans out to do with friends. She has also experimented to know how long she can go without talking to anyone, so she can plan and not get too lonely. She knows what balance can keep her happy on her trips. Cate talks about a lot of pros to traveling solo such as never having to wait for someone or worry about them and their needs. It’s not in a selfish way, but the point of traveling solo is so get all the fulfillment YOU want out of the trip. She talked about finding  a beautiful graveyard and spending four hours there, and couldn’t imagine someone else wanting so stay that long with her. But she loved it and wanted to take it all in and that’s exactly what she did!
