Discussing models for my first essay
After reading “how I learned to program computer’s" by feross Aboukhadiejeh; and “how I learned to live Google free” by Joshua J. Romero I got some ideas for how I want to layout my own essay. I did like the way Feross wrote his blog better than Joshua. I felt like I knew Feross’s personality more through the blog; he had a sense of humor, was down to earth and gave a lot of good information, which made it easier for me to follow. Joshua was very thorough, but I found myself losing concentration a lot more with his blog. Also feross’s blog was very motivating. He loved computer programming and just went for it learning anything and everything he could. Computer programming isn’t a passion of mine but he tells you that just “doing something is the fastest way to learn it” and I take that to be anything my heart desires! I relate all this to my paper because I prefer to be inspiring and educational with my essay versus just educational.
It is hard for me to look at the layout of both the papers and compare it to mine because I am not 100% sure on what I will write my paper about. I’m not sure if it’s the font or the pictures but again I prefer Feross’s layout. I wonder if I can put cool pictures in my essay too….. I like him switching up writing paragraphs and giving some information in bullet form. I can read it quicker that way, and switching the layout keeps me engaged. Overall reading “how I learned to program computers” gave me the most ideas for some ways to write my own paper.
